Townsville Community Voices

Hello, I am John Waszkiewicz. I have lived in Townsville for many years and am well known in sporting and business circles. A former PE teacher and roller-rink manager, I have run many sports development programmes across the state as well as in and around Townsville and Magnetic Island.

Education:

• Master degree in Physical Education from Warsaw University
• Coaching qualifications in Soccer, cycling and hockey.

Employment:

I have been very fortunate in my life that I have been able to make a living out of my passion for sport.

• Managed sporting and fitness centres
• Coached numerous local , state and national teams.

My aims are:

• To make Townsville City the best place to live in
• To give our children a future in a safe environment
• To make Townsville the best city in the country for sport and recreation
• To bring the city back into the hands of the people

The reason I am running with Community Voices is that they have policies which will help me achieve those aims.
